Individual Therapy 

Now offering EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a transformative approach for processing traumatic experiences and relieving emotional distress. Here's how it works:

Eye Movement: During EMDR sessions, clients focus on traumatic memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as following the therapist's finger movements or listening to alternating tones.

Desensitization and Reprocessing: This process allows clients to reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional intensity and creating new, adaptive associations.

Healing and Growth: EMDR therapy can help individuals break free from the grips of past trauma, fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth.

At Busy Bee, LPC, we provide talk therapy with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) approach. We help you explore your thoughts and feelings; and discover how they are connected to your behaviors. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. In many studies, CBT has been demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications.


We also use Internal Family Systems Therapy to help clients get to know all of their parts of self in order to reparent their inner child. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach to psychotherapy that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts and painful emotions such as anger and shame, and parts that try to control and protect the person from the pain of the wounded parts. The sub-personalities are often in conflict with each other and with one’s core Self, a concept that describes the confident, compassionate, whole person that is at the core of every individual. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self. - Psychology Today

After our initial session (the intake), we will work with you to develop a custom treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs and therapeutic goals.

1. Call or email us to schedule your complimentary 15 minute phone consultation.


2. Once we schedule your first appointment you will receive a unique link via email to setup your client profile by clicking on the 'request appointment' button on the home page. You will be directed to our client platform - SimplePractice to enter your demographic information and complete your client paperwork (all electronic - no need to print and scan)!

3. You will receive a reminder of your appointment 24 hours prior to your session via text and email. 

4. You will receive a unique link via email 10 minutes before our appointment starts to join the video session.

In order to ensure that we can accommodate all of our clients effectively, we have implemented a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows us to adjust our schedule accordingly and offer the appointment slot to another client in need.
